The Streamtek™ Advantage
Using a generic 40-micron filter can lead to “clog-creep,” where fine particulates eventually block the precision-engineered 0.002″ gaps found in many Streamtek™ products. Our 5-micron element ensures:
-
Constant Velocity: Maintains the laminar flow required for high-velocity cooling and drying.
-
Contaminant Rejection: Effectively traps pipe scale, rust, and dust before it reaches the discharge point.
-
Low Pressure Drop: High-flow internal design ensures minimal energy loss from the compressor to the tool.
Installation Best Practices
-
Mounting: Install the filter vertically with the drain at the bottom.
-
Proximity: For optimal results, place the Streamtek™ filter within 10 to 15 feet of the point of use.
-
Flow Direction: Align the system flow with the “In/Out” directional arrows on the filter body.
Maintenance & Accessories
To keep your Streamtek™ system running at peak efficiency, we recommend inspecting the filter bowl daily and replacing the internal 5-micron element every 6 months, or whenever a pressure drop of 10 PSIG or more is detected.
Note: For heavy oil or oil-mist environments, we recommend pairing this with a Streamtek™ Oil Removal Filter (0.03 Micron) in a series configuration.
