Air Knife Shims

All Streamtek^TM air knives come pre-installed with a .002” shim. This is ideal for most standard applications. For special cases where extra force is required, additional shims can be installed (up to 5 additional shims). All our shims are made from stainless steel material to ensure durability. Adding extra shims is a easy process that involves removing the screws that secure the cap to the body of the air knife and adding the desired number of shims. Please note that with increased force of air that additional shims produce, air consumption also increases. With additional shims installed it is encouraged (if possible) to feed the compressed air at end ports to ensure even air flow
